So yesterday was quite a funny day.
Mum kept abusing me as to why I dated a student in school especially someone in my class.
And I kept explaining to her that when I entered school, I wasn't thinking bout marriage and the consequences of dating someone so close to me in age.
And she kept saying in her days, you don't date your mate.
That it was unheard of and am like lol because I really couldn't stand d guys in higher levels than me in university.
Fast forward to around 7.30pm, we were both watching our favorite soap Tinsel and Ene broke up with Chuks cuz she wanted a "steady serious relationship". Mumc jumps up again and says see that's what I'm talking about. And in my mind I wasn't rolling just my eye, my whole body was rolling as I was thinking "arggggh not again". Well at least this talk didn't last long as we were still watching.
Just the other day, I n my best friend were talking as she wanted to break up with her "student boyfriend" as she was getting older and well things were not looking up for them future-wise. And also her parents were stressing. We came to the conclusion that in the future when we have female children, we'd advise them not to date students as the girls always end up the victims 90% of the time.
Cuz 1) they end up waiting for a long time while all their mates are married.
2) There is the case of biological clocks
3) and there is the case of pressurizing parents who won't let you rest but u do know they have your best interests at heart.
4) Society isn't kind to a matured single lady as you are either classified as depressed, or bitchy.
5) All would be better if we knew for sure that after waiting these men would do the right thing and put a ring on ya finger. But with all the popular stories of men leaving long time girlfriends for younger fresher blood.....waiting doesn't seem like fun or a profitable investment.
So now I am thinking if I had to do it all over again would I still date my "student boyfriend".......the answer is YES.
Cuz, if I don't then my life would be different and I love my life. I love the people in it. I love the friendships that happened as a result of "student boyfriend". But I do not mention any of this to my mother cuz that would be me signing up on another long talk.

It's a little about everything about me, my view on stuffs that happen around me. Gist about stuffs that happened to me. Its just a little of everything.

I'm inlove or at least almost nlove
Funny how fast things change..........about 8 months ago i was wallowing in self-anger and boredom and every other emotion you can think of................but today i have this stupid smile on my face because i have met someone...........nt just someone but someone who doesnt give me a headache when i think of dating .
And i am sure its a great someone because my heart is at peace and even with every other drama in my life at the moment...........i am weirdly enough unbothered about them because just like my love life, it will work itself out without me having a heart condition.
So let me tell you bout my new love .........................his name is..........taaa
Ts still under wraps for now but when i am ready to flaunt it............you'd be among the first 10people to know

Loving Yourself
And here’s the good news…for you, for me, for all single women.
We are tough. We are bold. We are fierce. We are a force to be reckoned with. We face the world the single way every single day…and we don’t back down. We don’t let the idea of going to a movie alone intimidate us. We don’t let the threat of bumping into an ex stop us from going to the most fabulous party in town with our head held high. We walk a path that many women will never have to walk…a path that forces us to constantly step out of our comfort zones…a path that a majority of the women we grew up with and acted as bridesmaids for will never have to walk. The journey of a single woman is not an easy one – but we welcome the danger. We welcome the unknown. We embrace our freedom as the gift that it is…we pay our own way…we march to the beat of our own drum and we ask permission from no one to do so. There is a fire in the soul of a single woman that can never quite be tamed…an unwillingness to settle…an independence all our own, built from the knowledge that we can do absolutely anything without calling for backup and we can look damn good doing it. There is a wisdom we possess that comes from surviving many a broken heart…a shine to us from learning how to make an entrance into a room accompanied by no one but me, myself and I…a confidence that comes from knowing we are not afraid to fall…because each time we fall, Life presents us with another opportunity to get up and move up. We realize a happy life is more important than a happy ending…and that we don’t need a significant other to lead a significant life. And if one day, our Prince does find us, we won’t expect him to complete us, but to compliment us. Because we are strong.
This one’s for the girls who believe in love, but also believe in themselves.
The ones that have looked settling in the eye and walked away.
The ones who know their worth better than to accept a life less than the one they deserve.
The girls who happen to prefer registering for pole-dancing aerobics to registering for china.
The girls who choose margarita parties over Tupperware parties.
The girls who know they don’t need a ring to sing…or a mate to be great.
The girls who know that ME has to come before WE.
The ones who aren’t afraid to be late bloomers.
The ones who like owning their own schedules, their own weekends, their own independence.
The ones who boldly chart their own path…even if it doesn’t include a white picket fence.
The ones who hope for romance but with or without it, crank up the music and DANCE.
The ones who refuse to be grounded by the unaccompanied journey – but realize that those who fly solo often have the strongest wings.
The ones who know it takes guts and heart and courage to walk a mile in a single woman’s shoes – and sometimes a fabulous pedicure.
The girls who don’t wonder why they’re single – but wander while they’re single.
The girls who don’t allow their joy to depart simply because love hasn’t yet arrived.
This one’s for the girls who know that: “Being single used to mean that nobody wanted you. Now it means you're pretty sexy and you're taking your time deciding how you want your life to be and who you want to spend it with.” ~Sarah Jessica Parker
At the end of the day, next time you check the box “S” for single, remember this: No longer is “S” a scarlet letter to be ashamed of, but a mark of your true Superwoman status. Single is no longer a lack of options – but a choice. A choice to refuse to let your life be defined by your relationship status but to live every day Happily and let your Ever After work itself out. Whether or not you have someone in the passenger seat, you are still the driver of your own life and can take whatever road you choose. So the next time you hit a speed bump otherwise known as the age-old question “Why are you still single?” look ‘em in the eye and say: “Because I’m too fabulous to settle.”

Fabulously Single
After dating for almost 5yrs i found myself suddenly single.........
Saying twas fuckery(mind my language) of the highest order is a bit too mild.
In all honesty i was LOST but i put on such a brave face no one could have guessed the inner turmoil i was feeling.
I basically had to research and find out what single people did for fun. I was used to doing everything as a double. It was basically like thinking of two people before making any decision.
But here i was.....a fish fresh out of the pond. But as the human that i am......i adapted to change. adapted to all situations the singlehood brought me, met new friends, re connected better with the old ones.
Learnt another defination of LOVE........
Learnt that family is always there for you.......no matter what happens.
Learnt that some friends would always have your back no matter what stupid things you do.
Learnt that we all need a thick skin and single people need some more than others.
It's still a learning process but i believe in one day at a time. And rome was definately not built in a day.
And after 5months of been single and a bit of harmless mingle here and there..........i am happy to say i am ok......and my life has never been better or this interesting.
